Engagement Story

I think it's about time Kilee and I tell our engagement story. Kilee and I decided we wanted to get married and went ring shopping somewhere in between February and March. A month or two before Kilee was about to leave to work in Indiana, I got spooked and the engagement was called off. I know, what a great way to start of an engagement story! ;) Ky and I still talked every night and started to miss him more and more everyday. I could not and still can't figure out what I was so scared of. Anybody that knows Ky knows how great of a man he is. I knew I could not let something so special go, I knew I would regret it forever if I did. So I called Ky and told him I still wanted to marry him. So it was agreed! Kilee had it arranged for me to be able to pick up the ring that we had picked out together. He knew I did not want to be planning a whole wedding while he was away with no ring on my finger :)

The official proposal...I went out to Indiana a few times while Ky was out working. Three months seemed a lot longer than it ever had! I was so happy to see him and spend some time with him. One night while he was tucking me in I took off my ring and set it on the cofffe table next to me (Kilee makes me take off my ring for bedtime). He kissed me goodnight, I couldn't wait to fall asleep so I could see him in the morning. He called a few minutes after he had left and asked me to meet him at the pond on the bridge. I looked down at the coffee table to see no ring. He had taken it so he could officially propose. I said "No Kilee you have my ring, I know what you are trying to do but I am too tired to walk to the pond". Haha Yes I am a bit difficult. Obviously looking back on it I wish I would have just met him at the pond to make a cute story. Instead I told him he could do it another day because I was tired. Haha. Later that week on Sunday we went to church together. We went to sacrament meeting, then sunday school, and then we split for relief society and elders quoram. Kilee text me a few minutes after our class's started asking me how class was going. I read the text but did not answer back because I was in the middle of class. He texted me again asking if I was bored, so I turned my phone off. Little did I know he was trying to set up another plan. At the end of class I met him in th chapel. He had someone playing the piana and the spotlight center stage. I walked up the steps, walked towards him. He began talking about how and why he wanted to marry me and spend forever with me. He opened the box, popped the question, and I said yes! Haha. I am so excited for our lives togeher. So make a very long story short we are getting married October 1st, 2009!!!
